Vacation - 9th June, Oslo

We took the T-Bane (Underground) up (from 10m to 260m) to the Holmenkollen district where we visited the skijump and the skimuseum. The landing ground of the skijump was a lake, it will only be dried in autumn and the outlook from the top of the skijump down to the landing might scare some people.

Back in the city centre, we enjoyed at the Nationalgallery the drawings and the special exhibition on 400 years of the book Don Quichote by contemporary spanish artists.

In the afternoon we walked along the harbour to the Akershus fortress viewing down to the harbour with lots of sailing ships.

Jana was amazed by the many crowns that were displayed in the fortress itself.

In the evening we enjoyed the Oslo Summerfestival at the Aker Brygge. A band was playing from the top of a ship and lots of people were enjoying the sunny evening. We were exhausted since we had a bit too much sun and therefore were slightly sunbird - and too many impressions to process, especially too many nice drawings.
